How do business and political life compare?

A special lecture will be held in Capel Moreia, Llanystumdwy on Friday, September 17 discussing how business life and political life compare.

The English language lecture by Mervyn Davies, the Baron Davies of Abersoch is held by the Friends of the Lloyd George Museum. This will be the first in a series of lectures held by them in the coming months.

As a former banker and UK government minister, the Baron Davies has had a taste of life in business as well as in the world of politics. In his lecture, he’s sure to discuss his personal experience of a career in the two fields to strengthen his point of view.

Nest Thomas, Gwynedd Council’s Principal Museums and Arts Officer said: “This lecture will offer a great opportunity to listen to someone who has enjoyed high level of success in two very interesting fields.

“Mervyn Davies has worked for some of the biggest businesses in the world before accepting a post with the UK Government in Westminster, therefore it would be difficult to find anybody that could compare business and political life better than him. This will be the first lecture in the Friends of the Lloyd George Museum 2010-2011 programme, therefore it’s promising to be a night to remember.”

The lecture, through the medium of English, will be held in Capel Moreia, Llanystumdwy, Friday, 17 September at 7.30 pm. Entry is £5  – free entry for Friends of the Lloyd George Museum.
