Investigation Continues into Cardiff Protest Attacks

Screen shot 2014-08-21 at 10.25.27Police in Cardiff are continuing to appeal for information regarding the identity of a number of individuals following the disturbances in central Cardiff which occurred on Saturday 26th July.

Five men have already been arrested and released on bail in connection with the investigation into the incident which happened on Mill Lane and St Mary Street.

Detective Inspector Julian Bull of Cardiff CID said: “We are conducting a robust investigation into this incident and we want to speak to these men.

“We want to hear from anyone who may recognise these individuals, or they can get in touch with us themselves.

“The actions of those involved will not be tolerated and we will continue to review evidence in order to bring any offenders to justice.

“I want to reassure the public that incidents of this nature are extremely rare and our investigation into how these violent events arose continues to make progress.”

South Wales Police are urging anyone who can help identify the individuals in the CCTV images to contact them on 101.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the individuals in the photographs is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote reference 1400276472.
