A boccia player from Bethesda was a winner in the Welsh Boccia National Competition in Cardiff on Sunday.
Jacob Thomas, who had been training with GB squad in Bath earlier in the week, played outstandingly, reaching the final by winning all his games.
Jacob played James Ciaburro in the final of the BC3 category and won 7-0. The BC3 is one of four categories in the championship.
The 15-year-old was among four players from the Crymych Panthers who took part in the competition at the Welsh Institute of Sport.
The other three players were Sian Jones, James Pugh, and Jenny Bartholomew-Biggs.
All three played very well but unfortunately did not progress to the semi finals.
Angela Miles, Disability Sports Development Officer for Pembrokeshire County Council, congratulated Jacob on his success, and added:
“It is great that this year Pembrokeshire had four players at the Nationals, all of whom played well and learnt from their experience.”
