Jobs Fair comes to Flint

If you are looking for a job, or have some vacancies on offer, then come along to Flint’s second Jobs Fair on Wednesday 18 May.

Flint Communities First has joined forces with Jobcentre Plus to organise a Jobs Fair for the benefit of local residents and local businesses.

The event will take place on Wednesday 18 May 10 am to 3pm at the Pavilion Leisure Centre in Flint.

The aim of the event is to help local people to find work and to help employers to fill their vacancies.

As well as finding out about jobs, residents will be able to get information about voluntary work opportunities to help them to gain the skills they need in today’s modern workplace, as well as help with job search and interview skills.

Kieran Duff, Chair of the Communities First Partnership Board said:

“Our Jobs Fair in 2010 was hugely successful. Up to 500 local people of working age from all sections of the community took part. The feedback from local employers was also very positive. Recruiting and upskilling staff is very important to businesses and attracting the right person for the job is essential.”

If you are a local business and would like to book a stand for the event please contact judy.brown @flintshire.gov.uk. Stands will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Local residents need only turn up on the day. There is no need to book in advance.
