Join Dilys for a Trip Around the Vale of Glamorgan

Over the next few weeks and months, the National Eisteddfod will be travelling around the Vale of Glamorgan – the location of this year’s festival.

The aim is to visit communities across the area, distributing information and telling local people about the Eisteddfod, which is held on the old airfield at Llandow from 4-11 August.

We’ll be travelling around in a shiny red camper van called Dilys, and we want to hear from you if you see Dilys driving around over the next few weeks.  We’ll be in the Vale for two days at the end of February and we’ll be back in April and June.

In February we’ll be launching the Eisteddfod’s concert programme and distributing leaflets and booklets in towns and villages. Dilys will be back in April, as we celebrate 100 days to go before the start of the Eisteddfod, and in June, we’ll be joined by Dilys to launch our famous Go Bonkers for Bunting campaign and our shop window competition for businesses in the Vale, as we celebrate 50 days to go.

We are currently putting together the timetable for these dates at the moment.  If you’d like Dilys and the Eisteddfod team to visit your town, village or group, get in touch by sending an email to [email protected] or by ringing us on 0845 4090 300.

Dates are listed below.  Remember to suggest a time and a clear location when you get in touch.

  • 28 February – all booked
  • 29 February – morning slots available
  • 26 April – morning and afternoon slots available
  • 15 June – afternoon slots available.

We’ll publish details of where we’ll be visiting and when closer to the time.  They look forward to seeing you when we’ll be out and about in the Vale of Glamorgan.
