Flintshire County Council’s Trading Standards is launching a trader approved scheme that will benefit car buyers in Flintshire.
Buy with Confidence is one of many Office of Fair Trading trader approved schemes with the aim of to providing:
- good customer service
- effective procedures for dealing with complaints, and
- a low-cost independent redress scheme if you are unable to resolve your dispute with a member business
Look out for the scheme’s logo on business premises, documentation and adverts.
The scheme will be launched in the Clwyd Room, Clwyd Theatr Cymru at 7pm on Thursday, 25 March. Member organisations will be presented with their membership certificates at this launch.
Head of Public Protection, Flintshire County Council, Dr Paul McGreary said, “This is part of a nationally recognised approved trader scheme to improve consumer confidence in the motor trade. It will also ensure that motor trade businesses comply with trading standards legislation.”
Councillor Dennis Hutchinson, Flintshire County Council’s executive member for Leisure, Public Protection and Team Clean Activity, said: “I am delighted that this scheme is being introduced in Flintshire. It is good to see businesses and the trading standards service working together for the benefit of Flintshire residents. I hope that we can attract more members and that we can ultimately widen the Buy with Confidence scheme to encompass other areas of trade.”
