Long distance hiker raises money for the RNLI

A 44 year old Lancashire man has recently completed a walk around the stunning Anglesey coastline, raising nearly £1,700 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Adrian Clark who works as a podiatrist in the Ribble valley started and finished his 125 mile challenge at the Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat Station.

Adrian said:

‘I have always been a keen walker and decided I would like to carry out this sponsored walk in aid of the RNLI. I have been a supporter of the charity for many years and I wanted to raise some money to help the volunteer Lifeboat crews to continue saving lives at sea’.

Adrian, who owns a house in Moelfre, completed the walk in 5 days, 10 hours and 50minutes, un-aided, and carried all camping equipment, food and supplies. He burnt around 11,500 calories and took 305,136 steps.

Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat volunteer press officer Dave Massey said:

‘On behalf of the Coxswain and crew at the Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat Station, I would like to thank and congratulate Adrian on this fantastic achievement’.
