Powys artists and craftspeople are being invited to sign-up for an event to help promote themselves.
Powys County Council’s Arts Development Service and Glasu have joined forces to deliver three ‘Picture It’ events across the county.
The sessions will offer visual artist practitioners and craftspeople the chance to have up to three high quality professional images taken of their work both for use on arts-engine (www.arts-engine.org.uk) and for their own marketing use. They will also be able to receive individual marketing advice and information from expert arts marketer Kate Bull, as well as the chance to sign-up to the new online arts marketing database arts-engine.
The events take place on:
Wednesday 14th October 2009 at Arts Alive, Crickhowell
Friday 23rd October 2009 at Maesmawr Gallery, Caersws
Wednesday 28th October 2009 at CARAD, Rhayader
Lucy Bevan, Arts Development Officer with Powys County Council, said: “The need for high quality images is essential for the successful marketing of visual art & craft work, so we urge local artists to take up this opportunity.”
