Marks and Spencer to open at Festival Park

The new Marks & Spencer outlet store at Festival Park will open its doors to shoppers on Thursday, 1 October.

Mayor of Blaenau Gwent, Coun John Williams MBE, JP will officially open the store together with Miss Wales 2009 Lucy Whitehouse. Glyncoed Comprehensive School will entertain guests.

The new store will create 35 new jobs and will offer a wide range of products including womenswear, menswear, beauty and home.

Coun Des Hillman, Leader of Blaenau Gwent Council said:

“This is more positive news for the regeneration of the area. I am confident that signing up Marks & Spencer will bring more visitors to Festival Park and will help boost our local economy.”

The first 100 customers will receive a goodie bag. The first 200 shoppers will receive a further 10% discount when spending £35 or more.
