MP Backs Will Aid Campaign

Clwyd West MP, David Jones, today urged constituents who have not yet made a Will to make an appointment with a Will Aid solicitor. Will Aid solicitors will draw up a basic Will free of charge during November. As with last year’s campaign, in return for this service, the solicitors hope clients will choose to donate to Will Aid charities the fee that they would normally charge.

This year, the suggested donation level is £85 for a single Will and £125 for a pair of matching or “mirror” Wills. There is no VAT to pay. The money raised is shared by the participating charities and is put to work helping children, families, older people and whole communities in the UK and around the world.

David Jones said:

“This presents a further opportunity for people in Clwyd West to obtain an affordable Will, drawn up by a qualified solicitor, in the knowledge that the donations will continue to go to a variety of good causes”.

The money raised is shared between the participating charities (ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire) and provides vital funds to help people develop communities and build a future in the UK and around the world.

Will Aid solicitors are taking appointments now and are likely to book up very quickly. So find a convenient participating solicitor today at http://www.willaid.org.uk/will-makers/find-solicitor  or by calling the hotline on 0300 0300 013.
