To celebrate National Poetry Day 2010, there’s a fantastic opportunity for Gwynedd’s young poets to showcase their talent.
Any child who’s in year 5 or 6 in a Gwynedd primary school could be in with a chance of winning a pack of poetry books worth £50.
All they need to do is write a poem in the Hen Bennill form of your choice, in Welsh or English, on the theme ‘Home’. The competition will be judged by Llŷr Gwyn Lewis, the winner of the chair in the Urdd Eisteddfod this year.
The closing date for entries is 22 September 2010 and they should be sent to Gwen Lasarus, Academi / Gwynedd Council, Caernarfon Library, Pavilion Hill, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1AS or [email protected]
Gwynedd Literature Promotion is an Academi project supported by Gwynedd Council.
