Neath Fatal Road Traffic Collision: Family Tribute

hammettA motorcyclist who died following a road traffic collision in Neath at the weekend has been named as 25-year-old local man Stuart Allen Hammett.

Mr Hammett, from the Melyn area of Neath, was riding a Yamaha scooter when it was involved in a collision with a grey Ford C-Max at Hillside, Neath.

The collision occurred at around 9.05pm on Sunday 22nd June. Mr Hammett suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

In a statement his family said:

“Stuart will be sorely missed by his parents Roy and Susan and his brothers Mark and Lee and his sister Carly and her partner Morgan and all his friends.

“Stuart had a great love for playing football from a young age, playing for many local teams.

“Stuart enjoyed socialising with family and friends. He was hard worker alongside his brother.

“He had a wonderful outlook on life in a positive way and is remembered for saying ‘my family and my friends mean more to me than life'”
