Neath Food Festival

Neath Port Talbot Council is calling on all traders across Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas to take part in Neath’s first ever food and drink festival.

The festival which is planned for October 24th will be the perfect platform for small, medium and large businesses to showcase their products to the public.

With the help of a subsidy from the council, traders will only have to pay £35 for their food pitch for the day. This will include an open fronted trade stand (3.0m x 3.0m), a trestle table and 2 chairs and electrical connection.

Traders from across South Wales are being encouraged to take part to demonstrate the abundance and mouth watering range of local food and drink that is available within Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas.

Cabinet Member for Economic Development, David Lewis, said,

“The Council is firmly committed to supporting local businesses within the area and this is the perfect opportunity for all groups in the community to come together.

“It will give traders a chance to demonstrate any health and wellbeing activities they are involved in and promote the message of healthy eating, balanced diets, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

“It is also an opportunity to run an event which is fun and further enhances what Neath has to offer.”

The October Food Festival will be an exciting addition to the annual programme of successful events held in the town centre every year, which include the Town Festival in May and the Historic September Fair.

The festival will highlight the variety of high quality Welsh produce that is available locally and focus on the range of products currently available from award winning suppliers in the Town’s covered market and the surrounding area.
