Residents in Llanberis have a new beat officer patrolling their neighbourhood.
PC Bryn Pritchard re-joins the Caernarfon District Neighbourhood Policing Team as the new Community Beat Manager for the Llanberis area, and he will be patrolling the area, listening to the residents’ concerns and working with partners to tackle any issues they may have.
PC Pritchard said: “I’m very much looking forward to my new role as CBM for Llanberis, and carrying on the good work of my predecessor, PC Philip Kennedy.
“Llanberis is a great village which is extremely popular with tourists. I know the area fairly well having worked here between 2001 and 2004, but still have a lot to learn about the residents, but it’s something I’m looking forward to. He added:
“I’ve been keen to get into a role where I can get close to a community and work with them on various issues, whether they be things like anti-social behaviour, criminal damage or even helping to set up schemes such as Neighbourhood Watch.
“I hope to work with all members of the community to ensure Llanberis remains a safe place to work, live and visit.”
PC Pritchard joined North Wales Police in 1996 and after finishing his training, took up posts in Caernarfon and Llanberis. He has worked as a response officer on Anglesey before moving back to the Caernarfon District.
He’ll be supported in the area by Police Community Support Officer, Michael Couling.
District Inspector Keith Ellis said: “I welcome PC Pritchard to the team and hope the community contact him with any concerns or issues they have.”
