A new GP surgery has opened on Park Place, Cardiff, to provide key health services to students and staff of Cardiff University.

Park Place Surgery is now taking registrations from staff and students who live within its catchment area.

The new surgery is a joint collaboration between Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cardiff University’s Health Team at Student Support & Wellbeing, and the Students’ Union who have worked in partnership to bring this new surgery to the University.

Park Place Surgery will enable more students to register with a local GP when they come to Cardiff to attend University and make a real difference to their health and wellbeing with a convenient on-campus location.

Dr Andrew Proctor, from Park Place Surgery said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for the Practice to work in collaboration with Cardiff University and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to provide friendly, comprehensive medical services focussing on the needs and wellbeing of students.”

The surgery, which is a branch of Roath House Surgery, will be open Monday to Friday between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and will operate on an appointment system. Advice and appointments can be made by calling 02920 870660.
