New grant for economic growth in Caerphilly

Expanding and growing businesses throughout the Caerphilly county borough can now benefit from new funding support from the Welsh Government.

The Welsh Government has launched a £15 million Wales Economic Growth Fund which is a short-term, fast-track fund for businesses, providing immediate access to non-repayable capital funding, starting at £100,000 for investments that will create and retain jobs.

Applications are open from 12 December 2011 with a closing date of 31 January 2012 and funding will need to be spent by 31 December 2012.

Cllr Ron Davies, CCBC Cabinet Member for Regeneration said, “This scheme is only available for a short period of time and the minimum funding application is £100K. I would urge our local businesses to take advantage of this scheme. Businesses who are considering making smaller capital investments should contact the Advisory Services Team at Caerphilly council because there is a range of funding available for a variety of investments, from starting up through to growing a business.”
