Incredibly, it is twenty years since Newport AFC was formed, following the demise of Newport County.
Ten years ago supporters voted to add ‘County’ to the name, so they are now Newport County AFC.
They have achieved three of the five promotions necessary to restore Football League to Newport, despite two periods of enforced exile and three visits to the High Court, to establish our right to play in the Football League pyramid in our home City.
To commemorate this achievement they are having AN AFC REUNION on Thursday 15th October 2009, Kick Off 7.30pm at BarAmber.
Tickets are priced at just £5 and the evening will include a meet & greet session with ex players, some video footage and Curry.
