Local residents are being asked to help tackle unauthorised motorbikes and horses in Ponciau Banks Park.
Unauthorised motorbikes and horses are not permitted anywhere on the Park (including on the footpaths) and recently they have been causing a public nuisance, damaging the park, and risk causing a nasty accident.
Park staff already notify the Police about nuisance riders, but increased reporting from local residents will also help to stop the problem.
All incidents can be phoned through to the Police Control Room (by just dialling 101 or 102) and witnesses are encouraged to take note of the riders appearance and what the bike looks like, so the report can also be followed-up by CCTV evidence.
Although the Police Control Room will ask for witness details, this remains confidential, and witnesses do not have to give their details if they would prefer to remain anonymous.
If residents have general information about any antisocial behaviour in the Park, this can be given to the Police Community Support Officer (0785 433 2597) who also gathers intelligence on nuisance bikes and riders in the area.
Ponciau Banks is now a lovely park to visit, please help keep it that way.
