Denbighshire County Council have confirmed that a new outline planning application has been received from Scarborough Development Group in relation to the Ocean Plaza site in Rhyl.
The latest scheme proposes development of 5.3 hectares of land for a mixed -use redevelopment, to include a food store, large format non-food retail outlets, cafe/restaurant units, hotel, public house, petrol filling station with associated access, car parking, infrastructure (including new sub-station) and landscaping
The application includes the submission of a number of supporting documents such as a retail impact assessment, transport assessment and flood consequences assessment.
Consultation letters to nearby residents will be issued this week.
Anyone wishing to view the plans and document can do so at the Denbighshire CC website www.denbighshire.gov.uk using planning reference 45/2013/1510. Plans will also be available to view at Rhyl Library.
