The festival kick starts with a spectacular outdoor concert in Stirling and will feature one of the most exciting conductors and orchestras in the world. The concert will be beamed live to the Hayes Live Screen on Thursday, giving those in Cardiff city centre the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere from a distance.  The concert starts at 7pm with limited seating available.

The first half of “Simón Bolívar Orchestra – Live from Stirling” will be transmitted to 21 of the Big Screens across the UK, including the big screen on The Hayes

Along with the London Festival 2012 live concert on the big screen there are many other live site screenings taking place over the next coming weeks including Shakespeare productions, live Wimbledon coverage and of course full coverage of the Olympic games more info can be found at www.Cardiff.gov.uk

Cabinet Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Huw Thomas, said: “There are a number of events taking place across Cardiff to the build up of the Olympics Games which in Cardiff will climax in the city hosting the first event of the London 2012 Games.
