Operation Cinnamon in Gresford and Marford

The Gresford and Marford Neighbourhood Policing Team are organising another ‘Operation Cinnamon’ event in Wrexham North.

The event, on Thursday March 11, will bring people together for an afternoon of fun and information with the aim of increasing residents’ awareness and alertness through a presentation on bogus callers and distraction burglars, while offering advice on how to prevent such crimes.

There will also be an introduction to Neighbourhood Policing and talks on anti-social behaviour.

Residents will be able to meet the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and councillors Mike Edwards and Beryl Blackmore as well as partner agencies such as Trading Standards, AVOW, Strategy for Older People, Age Concern, North Wales Fire Service, Welfare Rights and Care and Repair.

Funded by PACT (Partnerships and Communities Trust), there will be a free buffet lunch along with bingo and a raffle, with prizes being donated by local business in Gresford and Marford.

The event will be held at Marford Community Centre, Pant Lane and starts at 12:15pm. If you have any questions call PCSO Scott Noble on 07854 330178.
