Organisers say Success of Wale’ first Color Festival has Cemented itself on the UK Festival Circuit for Years to Come

Screen shot 2014-06-25 at 12.29.32Over 4,000 people gathered at Splott Warehouse on 14th June 2014 to celebrate Wales’ first Color Festival.

The popular Cardiff market venue was transformed on the warm weekend into a colourful playground for festivalgoers with electronic and dance house beats, tapas and ice cream.

The crowds soared with bags of colour powder thrown into the air as they jumped to a line-up of energetic DJs, including Radio 1 heavyweight Annie Mac, Bristol-based Redlight, chart topper Secondcity, supported by The Golden Boy.

The Mr and Mrs behind Little Bigfoot Promotions had first noticed the success of The Color Festival in continental Europe and took the ideal opportunity to partner up and bring it to the UK for the first time.

After nine months of planning, with top local-based production and security teams and, supported by South Wales police and Cardiff Bus, the event turned out to be a massive success, gathering the attention of huge followers on social media, local bloggers and press as it made ITV News Wales evening bulletin.

Operations Director, Tudor Barber said: “Everyone enjoyed themselves and we pride ourselves in our clean sheet with regards to hosting a safe and responsible event?

“Color Festival is here to stay, we will be back next year certainly with an even bigger festival line up and show.”

Promotions Director, Caroline Archer said: “With improvements already being made to the venue, we have some huge events to follow. We can’t give anything away yet but we can say that we will continue to bring the biggest acts to the city, supported by a local line up and local traders and caters adding to the memorable experiences we bring with a twist.”
