ParkLife Live Finale Show 14th August

An exciting week long series of circus workshop skills for the community comes to a spectacular climax this Saturday 14th August at Pontardawe Recreational Ground.

With a live performance of work devised by No Fit State Circus and local creative and sports groups that include, Mode-Makers of Dance Energy featuring funky dance styles, Circadian Fitness-gymnastic pole dancing for fitness, Welsh Bockers- a 21st century sport using gymnastics, trampolining and free running, Free Runners- urban acrobatics and Organise Kaos-a youth circus group set up in the heart of the Amman Valley.

Dawn Roberts, from Circadian Pole Fitness, said, “We are really enjoying the experience. My students and I have learned a lot about how a performance is put together and have also seen how dedicated the performers are. It was an honour to share skills with such an amazing group of people. Parklife is such a fabulous idea and everyone I have told about it has been very excited about the whole project. We can’t wait until the final performance to show the public what we can do.”

During the week the dedicated local groups and individuals have worked closely with the world class performers of No Fit Circus to develop a wide variety of performance skills for inclusion in the finale performance on Saturday night.

Council Leader Ali Thomas said “This is one the most prestigious free events to take place in NPT and the only performance of Parklife in Wales and I would encourage everyone to go along and support this grant funded arts initiative and enjoy an exciting live show for all the family.”
