Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies is pictured at the Senedd launching a report by the Disability Law Service.
The charity provides information for disabled and deaf people on a range of issues from discrimination to employment.
The new report, which was launched at an event hosted by Mr Davies, recommends that there should be an integrated referral system allowing for the easy transfer of information about clients between organisations.
“The report also highlights the need for a campaign to promote disabled people’s rights,” said Mr Davies who also helped launch Disability Wales’s Streets Ahead campaign report last year.
“With research carried out in Haverfordwest, Disability Wales highlighted some of the issues that disabled people face in accessing high street services and shops,” he told the Senedd.
“I understand that Disability Wales is launching its Independent Living NOW! campaign next month, which is to run until next year.
“The campaign will enable disabled people to achieve their own goals and to live their lives as they choose.
“It offers practical solutions for removing the barriers to social inclusion, including in health and social care, housing, education, employment, transport, and access to the environment.”
