PC’s raise money for charity

Two Llangefni police officers and two friends walked up Snowdon twice and raised £1,200 for charity.

PC’s Kevin Taylor and Dan Doughty with Mark Dibb and Jamie Stones took seven hours and 45 minutes to complete the walk and make some much needed funds for Help for Heroes.

PC Taylor is a former soldier and wanted to raise cash which would go directly to the charity to provide surgery and therapy for soldiers.

He said that it was a very worthy cause as more funds would be needed by the charity in the future as the war in Afghanistan escalates.

“We were delighted with the amount we raised as our aim was to make £1,000 and we went over that.

“I would like to thank everyone for their support.” he said.
