Letters are being sent out by Denbighshire County Council this week to applicants that have been successful in a bid for financial support to help pay their council taxes.
Denbighshire was successful in its bid to secure £77,000 from a £2m grant that the Welsh Assembly Government has made available to local authorities across Wales to provide a scheme to help pensioners with their council tax.
2,150 applications were received in Denbighshire and the council’s Revenues department will be writing to successful applicants, informing them by how much their council tax bills will be reduced.
