Police appeal after Abergavenny attack

Gwent Police is appealing for information following an assault which occurred on White Horse Lane in Abergavenny on Wednesday 3rd March.

The assault occurred between 12am and 1am when two 33 year old men were walking down the lane and were approached by a group of 6-9 people. Following an exchange of words the group started punching and kicking the two men.

One of the victims sustained cuts and bruises and the other received serious facial injuries. They both attended Nevill Hall Hospital for treatment and one of them was later transferred to the Royal Gwent Hospital. They have both now been released.

The group responsible are described as being between 18 and 20 years old, mostly male and one female. They were wearing tracksuit bottoms and hooded jumpers.
