Police in Neath are appealing for information after a woman was found in a distressed state in the graveyard of St David’s Church in Neath Road, Resolven.
The 40-year-old woman was found by a family member at around 10.20pm on Thursday 1st May and has reported that she was sexually assaulted.
She was walking in the area when she was approached by two men who were in a blue coloured Ford Fiesta, the driver described as being bald.
Detective Inspector Darren George of Morriston CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in this part of Neath Road, Resolven between 9.30pm and 10.20pm to come forward.
“We are also appealing for any sightings of a blue coloured Ford Fiesta in the Resolven area at around this time on Thursday night.
“An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is continuing and I appeal to anyone who has information to contact us.”
