Police in Carmarthenshire have charged a 61 year old local man with murder.
Dewi John Evans from Pontyberem appeared before Llanelli Magistrates on Saturday 20th November.
He has now been remanded in custody before his next appearance before Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday November 30th.
The charge follows the death on 11th November of 57 year old Jacqueline Evans. A post mortem concluded Mrs Evans had died as the result of stab wounds.
