Police Investigating Burglary in Porthcawl Appeal for Witnesses

South Wales PolicePolice in Bridgend are investigating a burglary where two paintings were taken from a house in Hutchwns Close, Porthcawl between 11.30pm on Saturday 14th June and 8am on Sunday 15th June.

One painting was of an otter and signed by the artist ‘Michael Clark’ whilst the other was of a dog and would have been signed by the artist ‘Judy’.

It is believed that the two paintings may have been in the Sanderling Way area of Porthcawl on Monday 16th June.

Officers from Queens Road Police Station, Bridgend, want to speak with anyone who may have seen the paintings in the Sanderling Way area, or thinks they might have been offered the paintings for sale.

Detective Constable Rebecca Merchant said:

“We are trying to find anyone that may have seen someone acting suspiciously, or carrying paintings, in the area overnight on Saturday 14th June, or to find anyone who may have recently been offered such paintings for sale”.
