The death of the man, named as Philip Holmes, of Edward Henry Street in Rhyl is now being treated as a murder.
56-year-old Mr Holmes was last seen alive in his flat at around 6pm on Thursday 15th April. His body was discovered at 11.30am the following day (Friday 16 April), and following a post mortem it was revealed that he had been the victim of a serious assault.
House to house enquiries are currently being undertaken in the area and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Edward Henry Street, between 6pm on Thursday and 11.30am on Friday.
Detective Inspector Martin Davies is appealing for people who knew Mr Holmes to come forward.
