Pont Telpyn repairs complete

Denbighshire County Council is informing residents in Vale of Clwyd communities that work on repairing a bridge which partially collapsed in September 2008 has been completed and the bridge has now re-opened.

The work on Pont Telpyn, which links the A525 at Rhewl with the B5429, was necessary after flood damage to the west abutment. This involved the diversion of the River Clwyd and propping of the bridge deck for the repairs and reconstruction of the foundations to take place. New flood relief culverts have also been installed adjacent to the bridge to reduce the flood risk to the area.

Denbighshire County Council would like to thank residents for their co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience caused during the works.
