Port Rescues Person Cut off at Burry Holmes

On Saturday 11 August 2010 at 7:30pm the volunteers at the RNLI’s station at Burry Port launched to the assistance of a person cut off on Burry Holmes.

The person had crossed over from Llangennith Beach on to Burry Holmes when the tide was out. The person who was a photographer from London was unaware of the tide times.

The crew of the lifeboat took him on board and dropped him of on Llangennith Beach into the care of Rhossili Coastguards.

The lifeboat was crewed by Gary Morgan, Susanna Morgan and Neil Roberts.
