BBC National Orchestra of Wales‘ family concert Halloween Spooktacular featuring fun, spine chilling music and things that go bump in the night takes place on Friday 24 October at St David’s Hall, Cardiff at 7p.m.
The Orchestra will be joined by the National Youth Orchestra of Wales who will join forces for an evening of family entertainment and some of the creepiest music ever written.
The programme includes a great line-up of scary sounds, including themes from favourite films and TV programmes- including Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and Batman. Plus there’s the chance to take a trip through time and space with music from Doctor Who with the famous theme tune and get into Halloween mood with other spooky melodies.
BBC National Orchestra of Wales will be joined by world famous Welsh conductor Grant Llewellyn, previously a member of National Youth Orchestra of Wales at the beginning of his career who is delighted to be Chief Spook for all the fun.
Pre-concert Fun
The concert begins at 7pm with pre-concert fun and activities from 6. pm on level 3 and during the interval. . Everyone is invited to join in with the spirit of the event by coming in Halloween fancy dress.
