Twenty five year old Francis Barry Edwards who absconded from HMP Prescoed on Sunday May 23rd was arrested in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 25th May, in the Worcester area.
He has been charged with escaping from lawful custody and is due to appear before Worcester Magistrates court today.
Gwent Police took immediate action after being notified that the individual had absconded and the operational plan was activated with the aim of locating him.
