Two local politicians have praised the professional attitude and determination of the Welsh rugby team for reaching the Rugby World Cup semi-final.
MP Glyn Davies said “Its Just one of those days, the better team lost. We should welcome them home as heroes”
AM Russell George who watched the game at Newtown Rugby Club where over 150 fans gathered to watch the game thanked the club for its hospitality. “I would like to thank Newtown Rugby Club for opening its doors and offering great hospitality including the fantastic Bacon Sandwiches”
“To reach this stage of the competition for the first time in 24 years is a big achievement in itself. The nation should be proud of the Welsh team’s professional attitude and determination.”
