Question the council about Llantwit Major conservation area

As part of a review of the Llantwit Major conservation area a surgery-style event has been arranged by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

The event will be held at the Old School in Llantwit Major on 1 October 2009, between 1pm and 7pm, and will be attended by council officers who will answer questions on the draft conservation area appraisal and management plan for the area.

The review has included the delivery of questionnaires to properties within the area of special architectural and historic interest.

Operational manager for planning and transportation policy, Emma Harvey, said: “The council has to review its conservation areas from time to time and formulate and publish proposals for the preservation and enhancement of those areas. The review provides local people with the opportunity to tell us what they think. This information will greatly assist the council.”

Copies of the draft document are available for inspection at Llantwit Major library, the mobile library and can also be viewed on the council’s website here.

Comments on the draft appraisal and management plan can be made in writing to the Planning and Transportation Policy Section, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Dock Office, Barry CF63 4RT or emailed to planning&[email protected] by 12 noon on Friday, 23 October 2009.
