Commenting on claims by Ed Miliband that Carwyn Jones’ “hands are tied” on the Welsh economy, Nick Ramsay AM, Shadow Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology & Science, said:
“Labour are trying to shift the blame to cover for their mismanagement of the Welsh economy over 12 years in power in Wales.
“Welsh Labour Ministers have failed to use the levers under their direct control to support small businesses, encourage inward investment and drive job creation.
“Labour’s Marxist Enterprise Minister has dithered over the introduction of Enterprise Zones, delayed decisions on business rates and failed to take the decisive measures our economy needs.
“Many voters will see Labour’s claim to be powerless on the Welsh economy as a cover for inactivity and lacking a plan for economic growth in Wales.”
