As part of Flintshire’s Artsfest ’14, Rhos Male Voice Choir will be in St Mary’s Church in Mold on Saturday 29 March.

Founded in 1891, the choir is based in Rhosllanerchrugog, a village overlooking the Vale of Maelor in North East Wales, and is currently the most successful choir in Wales. In 2013 they took first place in the male voice choir competitions at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, the National Eisteddfod and the S4C Cor Cymru TV show. The unique hat-trick followed wins in the National Eisteddfod in 2011 and 2012. They have travelled the world singing in America, Canada, and throughout Europe.

On 29 March the choir will be singing from a repertoire that includes traditional male voice choir music, songs from the shows, operatic chorus favourites and Welsh classics. The performance, at St Mary’s Church begins at 7.30pm with tickets priced at £8 to £10.
