Road traffic collision near Pentraeth

A 20 year old man has died following a road traffic collision near Pentraeth, Anglesey.

The incident occurred at 22.10 hrs on Saturday 5th February on the A5025 between Pentraeth and Four Crosses.

Two cars were involved in the collision. Firefighters from Benllech and Beaumaris were called to assist at 22.12 hrs and used holmatro cutting equipment to release casualties.

The 20 year old man has been named as Thomas Alan McCann. He was in a car with two teenagers, both16 years old – one male and one female, who each sustained serious injuries and were transferred to hospital.

Two women aged 40 and 27 were in the second car and both sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Police have carried out collision investigation at the scene and are still in the process of conducting enquiries.

All those people involved in the incident are from the local area.

There is no further information at present.
