Robbery in Ruthin: Appeal

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made following a robbery in Ruthin yesterday afternoon (Monday, 21st December).

At approx. 12:30pm a man was walking along an alleyway known locally as ‘Cunning Green’ just off Castle Street. He was approached by a man who asked him for a lighter for his cigarette.

As the victim removed his wallet and lighter from his pocket the offender stole his wallet and pushed him down the embankment.

The 29-year-old was left shocked but uninjured by the incident.

The offender is described as being white, aged between 19 and 21, was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing grey coloured combat trousers which had a metal chain coming from the waistband down to one of the side pockets, a light blue hooded top with black sleeves, a grey slouch beanie hat and dirty white trainers.

The wallet contained cash and bank cards.
