At approximately 20:40 hours on Thursday 6th March 2013, a Serious Road Traffic collision occurred on the A4061 directly outside the Ambulance station, Bryncethin, Bridgend.
As a result of the collision, a female pedestrian has sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
The collision involved a blue coloured Vauxhall ZAFIRA motor car, which was travelling from the general direction of Blackmill towards Sarn.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and would also like to speak to anyone who may have given assistance to the female after the collision.
