Waunarlwydd ended Maesteg’s unbeaten start to the season – and marched to the top of the table – with a 31-19 win over their Division Two rivals.
Outside-half John Davies led the way with 15 points as the home side came from behind to seal a bonus point with late tries from Davies and No 8 Nathan Hart.
Rhys Davies was the hero for Mumbles as they edged out bottom side Pencoed, 5-0. The centre scored the decisive second-half try, beating four players on his way to touching down under the posts.
Elsewhere, Pontyberem and Ammanford scored bonus point victories and Kidwelly and Aberavon Quins snuck tight away wins.
In Division Three, Crymych edged the local derby with table-toppers Newcastle Emlyn, 6-3. Gareth Davies was the match-winner for the visitors, holding his nerve to slot home the winning penalty 10 minutes from time.
Second-placed Morriston closed the gap at the top to one point with a 33-7 win against Haverfordwest. Tries from locks Luke Gronet and Harold Morgan, flanker Craig Lloyd and scrum half Ben Collins, plus a penalty try, sealed the bonus point.
The chasing pack also kept up the pressure with bonus point wins for Laugharne, who put six tries past Penclawdd, and Llandeilo, who won 39-8 at home to Llanelli Wanderers.
There were triumphs for the top three sides in Division Four, but Tumble find themselves off the top of the table after failing to seal a bonus point in their 24-17 win at Betws.
They are replaced by Milford Haven, who ran in six tries in beating Amman United, 42-22. Lock Aiden Laxton led the way with two scores. His second-row partner Gareth Fossett and skipper Paul Evans were also among the try scorers, while fly-half Lee Broom kicked 12 points.
Pontarddulais are up to second with a 32-5 victory against winless Trimsaran. Centre Nicky Hoyel scored 17 of the home side’s points and wing Stefan Williams went over twice to snatch the bonus point.
