Ruabon Train Station Parking

Wrexham Council would like to advise all rail passengers travelling to or from Ruabon Train Station that from the 03 May 2011, for approximately three weeks, there will be a limited number of parking spaces available while improvement works to the existing car park are undertaken.

Lead Member for Transport and Member of Taith, Councillor David Bithell welcomes the investment:

“Rail travel to and from Ruabon train station has increased year on year by an average of 17% since 2004. The works planned at Ruabon train station will create an additional 15 car park spaces to better cater for the demands for rail travel to and from this location. The works are being funded by the Welsh Assembly Government through the North Wales Taith Regional Transport Plan”

Wrexham Council would like to apologies for any inconvenience caused and would like to advise those travelling to Ruabon Station by car that alternative free car parking is available in Ruabon. Alternatively, rail passengers can opt to travel from Chirk which during 2010/11 has undergone similar capacity enhancement works including an extension of existing car park facilities.
