Parents in the Caerphilly county borough could save up to £500 a year by taking up their child’s entitlement to free school meals.
More than 1,000 children across the area are missing out on free healthy, tasty school meals, which could save parents on average £500 on free school meals and uniforms.
Research has shown that many parents / guardians are not receiving these benefits simply because they are not registered with the council.

Free school meals are available to all children whose parents or guardian claim certain benefits and have registered with the council. Once registered, your child will automatically qualify for financial support towards the cost of uniform when your child is entering Year 7.
