School carries out sponsored silence for St David’s RNLI

On Tuesday (24 January) volunteer crew members from St David’s RNLI lifeboat station attended Ysgol Bro Dewi, St David’s to receive a cheque for £100, which had been raised by school pupils.

The pupils had raised the money by carrying out a sponsored silence, and decided to present the proceeds to St David’s RNLI in order for the volunteer crew to carry on their lifesaving work.

The St David’s station would like to thank the pupils and staff for their generosity. After the presentation, the pupils in groups of about a dozen looked over a D class lifeboat which is used for public viewing.

Pictured being presented with the cheque are pupils Lottie Richards and Liam Francis with St David’s RNLI volunteers Mike Rogers and Mike Chant
