Tickets are still available for two festive concerts in the build-up to Christmas at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall.
Handel’s Messiah is returning on Saturday December 18 and the Christmas Candlelight concert is taking place on Thursday December 23. Both concerts start at 7.30pm.
Handel’s Messiah is being directed by Luke Spencer and will feature soprano Ros Evans, counter tenor Robert Cross, tenor Robyn Lyn Evans, bass Neil Baker, organist Andrew Pike and Carl Grainger on the harpsichord. They’ll be joined by Swansea-based choir the Gower Chorale and the Chamber Orchestra of Wales.
The Christmas Candlelight concert will also feature the Chamber Orchestra of Wales and will be introduced and conducted by principal conductor Alwyn Humphreys.
Guest soloists include Ros Evans and eight-year-old Ellie McGuire- a performer who wowed audiences earlier this year at the Brangwyn Hall while on stage with Morriston Orpheus Choir and special guest Rhydian Roberts.
Tracy Ellicott, Brangwyn Hall Manager, said: “The Brangwyn Hall delivers first class performances from prestigious musicians and the line-up this Christmas means the candlelight concerts will be unmissable.
“These hugely popular concerts ensure the perfect start to the festive season.”
Tickets for both Christmas events are available from the Grand Theatre Box Office on 01792 475715.
