Serious assault in Rhuddlan

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious assault in Rhuddlan.

At around 19:45hrs on Friday, 16th October, a man was assaulted at an address on the High Street, whereby he received a stab wound to his leg.

An ambulance was called, and the 37-year-old was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan. He was later transferred to the Countess of Chester Hospital with a serious leg injury.

His condition is currently described as stable.

CCTV footage is being investigated, and at the time of the offence, officers believe the suspect parked a small black vehicle outside the address, which caused passing vehicles to be forced to manoeuvre around it.

Officers are particularly keen on speaking to the driver of a blue coloured van, similar to a Transit van that had ladders attached on top of it, as this vehicle was stationary behind when the suspect gets out of the black vehicle.

Enquiries are ongoing, however, if you are the driver of that van, or if you have information regarding the incident, please contact officers at Central CID, on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
