Seventh anniversary of the Paul Savage murder

Thursday 4 February, marked the seventh anniversary of the murder of Paul Savage, a postman beaten to death whilst delivering mail on Clayton Road in Mold; and twelve months after launching a review of this investigation detectives continue to progress enquiries.

A number of new witnesses have been traced following appeals for information and areas that were not searched at the time of the initial investigation were searched during the summer months.

Items found during these searches and items seized that had not previously been examined have now been forensically examined as part of this review.

However despite the progress we have made, I would continue to appeal for information from the community in Mold. He added: “A reward of £100,000 continues to be offered for information leading to the arrest, charge and conviction of any person responsible for this murder.”
