Anyone looking to enjoy a new activity for the New Year can move their feet to the beat and join a popular Samba class in Caerphilly.
The Caerphilly School of Samba are looking for people of all abilities to join their thriving group.
From 27th January, the Caerphilly School of Samba will be meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Van Guard Centre at Van Church, Van Road, Caerphilly.
The group was created in 2008 and since its conception has been growing in membership and developing a repertoire of Brazilian Beats and Classic Carnival tunes. The band now wows crowds at many of the local carnivals and festivals and provides a carnival soundtrack for events such as the River of Light and The Big Cheese.
Caerphilly School of Samba, organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Arts Development Service, is currently looking for new members to join the band. No experience necessary, sessions are friendly, open to everyone aged 16+ and are FREE to attend! So come and indulge your carnival spirit!
